Casper Museum Consortium

The Consortium came together in 1998 as a joint venture between the City of Casper and the Natrona County School District with the common goal of marketing the top-notch facilities we have in Casper to both in and out of town visitors. We have grown into a relevant and useful organization in this community.

National Historic Trails Interpretive Center

Built on a sand dune overlooking the city and the North Platte River, the Trails Center presents experiences of emigrants traveling the Oregon, Mormon and California trails in the mid-1800s.

The Center also interprets Native American life, ways of the region, the Pony Express, and the Bozeman and Bridger trails to Montana. First-person narratives relate stories to new “pioneers,” who can interact with multimedia exhibits in seven galleries. The Trails Center appeals to all ages and features a great book store!
